Since we're going to be working together, you might like to know a little about me.
Professional Service and Values
Refreshing, Relationships, and Results are the key words that describe my service and values. Above all else, my professional service rests on my dedication to “Treating others the way I would want to be treated”. I strive to be a refreshing, steady and calm advocate for my clients during what can often be an emotional and stressful time. I am a discerning listener and an honest and direct advisor.
I value my client relationships and as a result the foundation of my business is referral and repeat clientele. It is always an honor to be entrusted with my clients’ repeat business and referrals to their friends, family members, and business associates. Since every transaction is unique, my mission is to provide each home buying or selling client with individualized, personalized service. I am caring, even keeled, friendly and fun. I am focused and respectful of your time and do not waste your time or mine. You can count on me to be available when and where you need me to, and to communicate with you promptly and efficiently.
I am not a “salesperson” but rather a trusted advisor committed to achieving the real estate results my clients desire. You will benefit from my expert market knowledge of West Seattle, Alki Beach and other fine Seattle neighborhoods. I am meticulously detail oriented so you don’t ever have to worry, and putting your needs, goals and wants first is my highest priority.
Background and Education
As a licensed Realtor since 2004, I am a Managing Broker with Coldwell Banker Danforth’s Seattle office. I am dedicated to continuing professional growth and leading edge advancements which benefit my clients. I have earned the prestigious designation of Certified Residential Specialist (CRS®) held by less than 3% of agents nationwide, meeting stringent education and experience requirements.
I have also earned the professional designations of Accredited Staging Professional (ASP®) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®). I am a member of the Washington State Chapter of the Council of Residential Specialists, Coldwell Banker’s International Sterling Society, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Seattle/King County Association of Realtors (SKCAR). I’ve been honored to be voted by my clients many times over the years as a Five Star Professional: Best In Client Satisfaction.
My Managing Broker license requires many hours of continuing education each year. I focus on the various Legal, Contractual, and Ethical issues in real estate. My commitment to current education on the ever changing legal landscape in real estate, plus my knowledge of contractual and ethical issues, ensures that I am always advocating for my clients and keeping them protected contractually at all times.
Prior to my real estate career, I spent 19 years with Nordstrom including many years buying for stores in Washington, Alaska and California. My expertise honed in the luxury retail environment immediately translated into benefit for my real estate clients: a global perspective, eye for design, maximizing outcomes and results, high level negotiation, and of course the legendary above and beyond, personalized customer service and care. I am a graduate of Santa Clara University with a degree in Business Administration / Marketing and an additional degree from SCU’s Retail Management Institute.
Personal and Community
I live in West Seattle with my husband Scott and our extremely spoiled black lab mix, Pepper. Our son Kyle is a mechanical engineering student at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA, and we enjoy visiting the "Happiest Town in America" at every opportunity. I have a special affinity for mid-century architecture and design. My favorite “movie house” is the Incredibles house and my dream vehicle an Airstream trailer!
Together my husband and I have renovated three midcentury homes in West Seattle over the years. We joke that all of our date nights have been spent at the Home Depot. When not working, our favorite getaways are Lopez Island in the San Juans and beautiful Lake Chelan.
As a 23 year resident of West Seattle, I love and invest in my community. My husband and I are proud of the legacy we have given the West Seattle community - the Junction Plaza Park. Scott and I were instrumental in finalizing acquisition of the land by Seattle Parks, leading fundraising and grant writing, working with community partners, and finally seeing the dream of a local neighborhood park and green space in the Alaska Junction neighborhood become reality.
We were also actively involved in the Holy Rosary School community, where we chaired the annual Christmas Tree Lot for many years, giving back to three local charities: the West Seattle Food Bank, West Seattle Helpline, and Salvation Army Hickman House. As a family we continue to be active in our local church community, Trinity West Seattle, and serve the homeless and needy through volunteer work and support for Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission.
I am an outdoors and fitness aficionado and in my spare time enjoy running, biking, swimming, hiking in the mountains and participating in various athletic events and competitions. The Lake Sammamish Half Marathon and ChelanMan Triathlon are two of my local favorites!
