Obviously, the waters of Lake Union are at the center of the hub of activity in Eastlake and there is no shortage of ways to get out and enjoy. On any given day you may find urban kayakers, crews of rowers in slender shells, dragon boats (look it up) sailboats, all manner of small personal watercraft, stand up paddlers, tugboats maneuvering their charges, and last but not least the occasional small float plane taking off or landing. Suffice it to say that the scene in Eastlake never gets boring! Many small parks dot the shore with plenty of places to dip your toes in the water or put in a kayak.
It’s always fun to grab a table on the deck at one of the restaurants along the lake – two of the most popular are the Eastlake Bar and Grill and Serafina - so you can relax and enjoy the happy hour. Runners and walkers will enjoy circling the lake on foot. Or head over to Gasworks Park to enjoy some yoga or Zumba on the grass! Eastlake has some on the most iconic views in Seattle – the Space Needle and downtown to the south, the Aurora Bridge to the west, and the University of Washington to the north.
Eastlake is a vibrant, historic, energetic, artistic and just plain fun urban neighborhood. If you’d like to know more about Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood, or are ready to begin your real estate experience, contact me and I look forward to hearing from you!
