One of the areas in which I specialize and enjoy is working with the family members and heirs of an estate who need to sell a loved one’s home. This can be a trying, difficult and emotional time. Every situation is individual with different issues or challenges to consider. There may be several family members in different cities or states to coordinate with.
You can count on me to be refreshingly calm and sensitive to the emotions involved and to handle the preparation and sale of the estate with the utmost professionalism and care.
My goal is to get you the highest price possible for the home, in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of inconvenience to you. I will work according to YOUR timeline and the needs of the estate. You will decide when it is right for you to sell. I will provide you with a current market analysis and detailed worksheet of your expected net proceeds. You may choose to sell the home “as-is” or invest in a few improvements prior to selling. I can help to prioritize a list of improvements and provide estimates of expected costs so you can make an informed decision on which way to go.
The process can be overwhelming especially if there are a lot of personal items in the home to find a place for or deferred maintenance to address. I have a great network of service providers who specialize in estate sales, personal property valuation, cleaning, rubbish removal, yard upkeep, and many more services.
I can help to arrange everything so you don’t ever have to worry or stress.
There will likely be an attorney involved to handle the legal matters concerning the estate such as probate issues, trusts, wills and the like. I will work closely with your attorney at every stage of the process to make sure the sale proceeds smoothly and according to the time frame of the family, heirs and executors. If needed, I can recommend some excellent professional attorneys who specialize in this area, as well as CPAs and financial advisors.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time to discuss the needs of your estate or executorship. I look forward to hearing from you!
